Dance Program at the YMCA of Greater Nashua!

We strive to maintain an atmosphere conducive to instilling the joy of dance in our students. Miss Kimi has been active in dance since the age of 3 and is beginning her 30th year as an instructor at the Y. Welcome to the YMCA of Greenville Dance program. Please see Miss Kimi with questions.Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. We have hip hop, ballet, lyrical, jazz and tap classes available, and children can start learning as early as age 4.All dancers participating in Mid-Year classes will have the opportunity to perform in the end of year end where they can show off what they learned and feel proud of their progress.The Greater Nashua YMCA offers recreational dance classes for children and adults.Kids can enjoy programs like Bitty Ballet and Tiny Tappers, while adults can explore leaps and turns, ballet, jazz, line dancing and more.

Learn new skills and enjoy a wide range of physical, mental and social benefits. It is designed to help students feel comfortable learning in a group setting. Health & Wellness; Fitness Classes; Child Care & Camps; Sports & Recreation; Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA School of Dance. Dancers must be registered for one for attendance purposes, but can attend one or both.The class is geared toward toddlers, 18 months to 3 years, and the special adult in his or her life. Dance develops a person physically, artistically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Elementary tap uses basic tap steps and slow upbeat music so children can develop and learn to count music while dancing at the same time. This will be a jazz based class and all levels are welcome.Cost: $13 per month (multi-discount does not apply)Spirit dance will begin August 17. We are still accepting new registrations! Placement is done by Miss Kimi.Private lessons are available for any age and level.

If your dancer is enrolled in 4 or more dance classes at the studio, you are automatically in Prodigy. This class is in addition to being enrolled in regular dance class.
There is an equipment rental fee due of $15.00.

YPAD courses educate dance studios and communities worldwide on the core elements in constructing an environment focused on the well-being of kids and a sustainable, safe future for dance. Each day your dancer will get to try a variety of different dance techniques.They will learn different moves in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. There is no extra charge for attending two times per week.

The YMCA offers a wide variety of dance classes for ages 18 months through 18 years for Yorkville, Somonauk, Plano, Sandwich and the surrounding areas. If you are enrolled in Ballet and Pointe, then both classes count toward the four necessary classes to make you a Prodigy. The YMCA offers great dance classes in tap, jazz, hip hop, plus Cecchetti ballet are available for kids and adults of all ages. Enjoy a variety of dance classes such as ballet, jazz, beledi, bollywood and swing. This Class will run from August until May with a Gymnasium Show in May.This is a performance team. We will be purchasing uniforms this year. The cost of uniforms will be announced later. ** All Pointe classes require prerequisites from Miss Kimi.
Example: You are taking Jazz, Tap, Pilates and Pointe. All primary and elementary classes have a primary instructor and assistant or student teacher. Find Your Y). The Merrimack Y has summer day camps for kids in preschool to grade 6.Camping is for everyone, and the Nashua Y has summer camp options for kids in preschool all the way up to grade 12.Events, announcements and updates from The YMCA of Greater Nashua. We have hip hop, ballet, lyrical, jazz, Irish dance, acro dance and tap classes available in these programs, and children can start learning as early as age 4.The programs have a year end recital where they can show off what they learned and feel proud of their progress.Our Mid-Year Dance programs, starting in January each year, are designed to introduce children to basic techniques for whichever style of dance they choose. Dancers must be at least 8 years old and taking 2-3 dances subjects. If you're ever at a party, wedding reception, or other social gathering and the Village People's "YMCA" starts playing, you can be guaranteed people will be doing the dance and forming the letters with their bodies. Classes include instruction in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop, taught by AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® certified instructors. This is a great class for your male dancers to be with other boys who dance and learn just “boys” routines. The class dynamics, not the class size, dictates this ratio and is decided by the studio director.

We will incorporate kick line, Pom-pon, military, hoopla, flag and cheer.

More information will be sent home with dancers in September, auditions will be held in late September. This class is performance-based and includes precision dancing.
